About Nuvist
Nuvist is an architecture and design studio which founded in 2006 in Istanbul (Turkey), by Kursad Sekercioglu and Emrah Cetinkaya. Nuvist aim to associate Architectural and Design works with all ranges and methodologies of Art, for Supporting and developing each other in possible solutions.
Our design statement starts with “writing”; actually the word of “nuvis” stands for “writing” in the Ottoman language, and in the Ottoman culture the word of ” Hoş-Nüvist ” is used for the artists of the Ottoman writing art that is called “Hat” or ” Hoş-Nüvis ” ; those artist are also called as “Hattat”.
“Hat” and writing is not only expression an idea with symbols but also description of values that enhanced high aesthetic levels. Firstly imagined in mind later happened with sensoriel organs. Sensibility in design brigns this imagination and thought approaches which represent and transfer its in foreground.
Consequently our objective is, making environments which help us to explore vary and range design probabilities with using traditional and modern design methods; and also determining and denoting opportunities which 21st century’s softwares and technologies give us how to use informations in necessary and suitable places on finding creative & innovative design solutions.
Nüvist Hakkında
Nüvist 2006 yılında İstanbul’da Kürşad Şekercioğlu ve Emrah Çetinkaya Tarafından kurulan bir mimarlık ve tasarım ofisidir. Nüvist sanatın tüm alan ve yöntemlerini uygun çözümleri kullanarak , Mimarlık ve Tasarım ürünleri ile birbirini destekler ve geliştirir çeşitlikikte bütünleştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Tasarım düşüncemizin temeli “yazı” ile başlar, zira “Nüvis” kelime anlamı Osmanıcada “hattat” olarak geçmektedir. Osmanlı kültüründe hat sanatı ile uğraşan sanatçılara bir başka deyişle hattatlara “hoş-nüvist” denilmektedir.
Hat ve yazı, yalnızca bir fikrin sembollerle ifadesi değil estetik bir düzeye yükselmiş değerlerinin tasviridir. Önce zihinde hayal edilir, sonra el ve göz gibi duyular yardımı ile meydana gelir. Tasarımdaki hassasiyet, bu hayal gücünün ve düşüncenin temsil edilmesi ve aktarılmasındaki yaklaşımların ön plana çıkmasıdır.
Böylelikle amacımız, gerek geleneksel gerekse modern tasarım sistemleri ile geniş tasarım olasılıklarını keşfetmemize yardımcı olacak ortam ve ortamlar sağlayabilmek bununla birlikte yaratıcı tasarıma ulaşmak için bilgi akışını ve bilgilerin gereken yerde kullanılmasını sağlayacak 21. yy yazılım ve teknolojilerinin sunduğu imkanları, sürekli değişen ve karmaşıklaşan koşulları da değerlendirerek belirleyebilmek ve göstermektir.
